I installed LabVIEW 2020 SP1 in my Windows 10 machine.
Everything works but the amount of time needed to build a RT system is getting me crazy.
When I start the compilation by right-clicking the build specification, the following pop-up window comes up :
This window stays at this same state during 6-7 long minutes. I can’t even cancel the compilation during this time, as you can see in the picture.
Then, the compilation starts and it gets 30-40 seconds until it gets to this point :
There, it lasts at least 2 minutes. Then, it continues the compilation during less than one minute, until it finishes correctly.
Everything works, but it is extremely long. Is there any way to accelerate these ‘sleeping’ times?
Thanks.
P.S. : My PC is not very powerful, but until now I used to run LV 2018 under Windows 7 in the same machine, and even if it was not hyper-fast, at least it was a bit faster than now.

I understand your feeling, definitely. Well, you are not the only one. There's a recent thread where the OP talks about one or two hours!
He received a suggestion marked as solution, but I don't think his project is about RT, so it's not probably suitable to help you.

Well, I do not use too many libraries, so I don't think that would resolve my problem.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, I will try.

It may/may not help. on RT environment. But I have often found that if I have previously Mass-compiled the dependencies of my project it not only speeds up my development time but it speeds up the build time too.
