You cannot generate arbitrary waveforms with the NI 5401. The NI 5401 is simply a function generator that allows you to output only the waveforms that have been pre-set for the board (sine, square, triangle, etc.) and select their frequency and amplitude. The arbitrary waveform generator we offer is the NI 5411, which allows you to load a waveform from a file onto the board for output.
