Failed Communication with Inputs

I have recently had a security up pushed by the IT department and the it has caused issues with the inputs and shared variables.

The IP address for the modules has changed and I have connected to the new one has this is a constant issue.

Now the inputs from the EtherCAT master (real time scan) aren't coming through and the shared variables are not updating.

I tried to deploy them again and I am get a mixture of the library name appearing in NI distributed system manager without variables and an error from target changing from configuration to active.

I have tried the following:

-Restarting device

-Repairing the install

-Reinstalling the software

-Updating the software

-Changing ethernet cables

-Checking all services are running

-Resetting the target memory

If there is any advice on what to do it would be appreciated

Hmmm, you need to have a serious talk with your IT management. I get it security is a big issues these days but just pushing out updates without making sure it will not affect production is not the way things should be done.

I don't know what ports EtherCAT uses but if it is one of the commonly exploited ports they could be blocking them.

80 for HTTP, 443 for HTTPS, 21 for FTP, 22 for FTPS and SSH, 110 for POP3, 995 for POP3 SSL, 143 for IMAP, and 993 for IMAP SSL.

I have been able to get back to the original IP.

However, I am still not getting communication between the hardware and the computer.

I have contacted IT to check the ports.

But my issues for the program seems to be with real time.
