I can get my hands on a 9002 and run your code. Go ahead and post a simple VI that will reboot a controller whenever you can. Smiley Happy

This is the simply VI.... It cause to happen the reboot of the cRio and if I use the highlight execution I remain in the first block.

After the reboot loose the connection with RT

Hello Fabio,

I ran your VI on a 9002 controller as well as a 9004 controller without any issues. You mentioned that you were using LV RT 8.2.1 is that still valid? I used LV RT 8.5 when I ran your VI.

Hello Fabio,

I am afraid that it is a known issue in LV RT 8.2.1, and it was fixed in 8.5 (like one have already mentioned in this very thread). I am not sure if we can provide a workaround for this in 8.2.1 or not. Hopefully we can get a clarification about this from my colleagues in the US that have posted in this thread since they have closer contact to R&D.

Hi all,

I have similar problem here, error at protocolsupp.cpp fatal internal error line.
I am using LV 8.5 RT, and PXI-7358 motion controller.

Does anyone has the solution for this yet? It is very urgent 😞

Thank you

The only approach that I ever got to work was just not highlighting execution and not stepping through the code.  Instead I use some form of logging.  Yes, it's really irritating.

Hi bono02,

Can you post your error log? What line is the error occurring at? If you're not sure where your error log is located, the directions are here.
