Fedora Core 5 and LabVIEW_7.1.1

I have successfully operated my LV 7.1 and 7.1.1
under Fedora Core 4, but now that I have upgraded
to Fedora Core 5, LabVIEW 7.1 and 7.1.1 will no
longer start. Symptom: Segmentation Fault.

Has anyone else any information on this issue?

My first reaction was to point you directly to the KnowledgeBase entry here.  However, the issue described in this document was fixed in the 7.1.1 maintenance release.  If you've installed 7.1.1 (and the splash screen says 7.1.1 while launching) and you're still seeing this problem, then it seems like we may have a new issue specific to Fedora Core 5.  Even still, you could try the workaround listed in this document in case the 7.1.1 update didn't get applied properly.  If the workaround still doesn't fix the problem, then it's almost certainly a new issue.  I don't know if we've installed Core 5 on any machines yet here at NI.

Hi Jeff-thanks for the followup. I did remove the
7.1 installation and
rebooted, then I installed, in sequence, 7.1 FDS,
7.1 AppBldr, and the 7.1.1
update. The 7.1.1 update automatically started the
mass compile, which
failed.

Regrettably, it looks like a reproducible failure.

I have searched the knowlege base: no info.
I queried the labview_info mailing list: no info.
