My first reaction was to point you directly to the KnowledgeBase entry here. However, the issue described in this document was fixed in the 7.1.1 maintenance release. If you've installed 7.1.1 (and the splash screen says 7.1.1 while launching) and you're still seeing this problem, then it seems like we may have a new issue specific to Fedora Core 5. Even still, you could try the workaround listed in this document in case the 7.1.1 update didn't get applied properly. If the workaround still doesn't fix the problem, then it's almost certainly a new issue. I don't know if we've installed Core 5 on any machines yet here at NI.
