Fieldpoint Visa name? How do I get one?

I have been using Visa successfully for some time now using Labview and my computers com ports.  However, I am migrating some of my vi's over to fieldpoint and want to use a fieldpoint controller to operate my serial instruments instead of the pc.  I cannot find any information on how to get a visa resource name for my name controls that correspond to the fieldpoint controller's ports.  What gives?  I assumed that MAX would detect these ports and drop them into the VISA section just like it does the pc's com ports.  Any help would be appreciated.

hi there

use the Serial - VISA subpalette of the FieldPoint functions palette. type COM2 - COM4 in the Visa ressource name constant. please refer to your cFP documentation for more information about the ports (i think one of them is a RS485).
