Filter particles that touch the border of mask

Hi all,

I make a mask on image and the I use threshold on it. Mask is creat from ROI. The I wnat to use IMAQ RejectBorder to eliminate the particles that touch the border of mask, but it do nothing. Is some step in LabVIEW or another way to crack this problem?

Thanks

Martin

Hi.

Could you post your code? and what version of LV are you using?

Also, Im not sure I understand what the final outcome would look like. Could you maybe give an example.

Kind Regards

Hi Martin,

When you post a question, it helps readers to answer back with a more precise answer when you give details of what "Hillman" has just asked from you, so the response and resolution times are shortened.

With regard to your question, what sort of an image is it? Can you convert it to a binary image and then modify it? This doesn't have to be the image that is displayed to the User. In other words, have multiple tasks running, one of which is the version the user sees, and the others, for processing. Again, without much detail of what you are working with, it is hard to give you a definitive answer.

Best Regards,

So, I use LabVIEW 8.5. And I want to find some articles on image in random ROI were I use IMAQ Paritcle Analysis. But I don`t know have to aliminate found particles that touch the border of ROI.

On the begin I wrote about mask, becose I make from ROI mask on image and then I make threshold. Next on this threshold image I want find particles with IMAQ Particle Analysis, but particles that touch the edge of ROI or mask I want to eliminate..

Remove border particles will not remove particle touching your roi.It will remove the particles touching the image border.Post a few images so that we can suggest you the best possible particle analysis item to eliminate them.

In future post imaq and image processing related queries in "machine vision" section to get a better hit rate.
