Finite Generation.vi Example

I'm fairly new to using LabView, so I could just be misunderstanding
something with this example VI.

Basically I'm just using the Finite Generation VI example to generate a
signal and then have my VI display the resulting time domain response
from the 5660. However it appears that when I generate a signal for
1ms for example, and attempt to capture 2ms, the signal is generated
for the entire time.

Any suggestions on what could be causing the signal generation to loop?
I'm fairly certain the 5660 capturing VI isn't going awry, but it
seems like I should see the signal for 1ms and then the rest of the
captured time should be essentially 0. Thanks.

My example finder does not contain anything named "finite generation". What example are you referring to?

Hey snuzzbff,

What hardware are you using to generate the RF signal? If you are using National Instruments hardware and VIs you might need to disable the output (there is a disable output VI) before you close the generation session. Are you using an example program to look at the time domain response?

Let me know how it goes.

Happy New Year!
