Firewire on ETS PC?

I am in the process of researching an inexpensive real-time solution using a PC.  I would like to use firewire camera inputs to the ETS PC.  Does ETS work with the PC's onboard firewire, or will it only work with the PCI-8252?

AFMF,
     The only support for firewire cameras in ETS is found in the drivers for NI hardware, such as the 8252.
