FlexRIO Version Conflict (2016 vs 2021)

Hi, Newb here.

I tried to install LV 2021 SP1 development and found there was a conflict on FlexRIO package:

Here's my question, where can I find details of the conflict and difference of FlexRIO package?

The problem I face, the code build under 2016 is good, able to communicate with the instrument.

But the app build by 2021 SP1 does not. Thus I am looking at the details to solve this issue.

FlexRIO driver 16.0 does not support LabVIEW 2021 SP1. LabVIEW 2021 supports FlexRIO 21.0 to 2023 Q3. You need to reinstall FlexRIO driver after installing LabVIEW.

is there a way to keep the flexRio 16 while installing the FlexRio 21?

I'm trying to reduce risk here. since the package manager does not have the FlexRio 16. I might not easily roll back if anything doesn't work.

No.

Then think about using a second computer (or VM) for your new installation to allow an easy roll back…

Just an update on the issue.

No solution. Conservative method is to keep the old 2016 machine as backup.
