Font problem with LabVIEW 2009 ?

Is there a font problem with LabVIEW 2009 ?

If i write a string and then change the font (in the front panel), it does not change it's appearence.

LabVIEW 8.6f1 was ok.

Hi Pnt,

I did the following

1. Drop a string control on the front panel.

2. Typed in something

3. Highlighted it

4. Changed the font.

It worked for me. Could you please enter what steps you did such that it didn't work?

 Same steps...

The two images are from the same PC.

Pnt,

Is it only that specific font, or any font?

Arial, Times New Roman, System and a few others works fine.

All the others, not.

Where did that particular font come from?  I don't see it installed on my PC.

Dear Pnt,

I tried that specific font (downloaded from google search and attaching here for future use) and i faced no issues with that. The font of the string control works as expected. Where did you placed that font? In c:\windows\fonts directory? Try restarting LabVIEW. Hope it helps.

Hi Pnt,

I tried the font that Mathan has attached and I could change the font without any problem. You state that there are some other fonts that could not be changed. If there are no copyright issues, could you please attach one such font here. (Aston-F1 that Mathan has attached is working for me).

Thanks,

Nitin

I noticed in your screen caps that the dialog font doesn't appear to be the same between 8.6 and 2009 (2009 is at least a larger point size, if not a different font).  Have you mdofied any of the settings for LV2009 for the fonts?  Mathan's screen capture seems to have the dialog font size "correct."  I am looking at the font name in the pull down list.

Yes, but i just set fonts to Arial-15.

Same problem exists even with the default settings.

Maybe i will try reinstalling LabVIEW. It's strange. All fonts are in the same directory (windows/fonts)
