I'm trying to write my instrument drivers with the instrument driver templates on the NI website. It's said, that I should replace the word "PREFIX" with the prefix of my instrument. Now, how can I use such small fonts as they are used in these templates. Can I adjust the font size in that icon editor to smaller or larger values?
I have seen in the past that the font size does not go smaller than 9. You can pretty much create your own text using the pencil tool, like pixel by pixel.
In the font editor, double click the "A" symbol to bring up the text dialog. Use can then change fonts, font size, etc. For icons, I usually select Small Fonts but sometimes it looks better to create your text pixel by pixel.
Double click on the text tool in the icon editor. This will bring up the text dialog box. "Small Fonts" works pretty well for icons. The smallest you can go and still be readable is about 8 pitch.
