Not sure if this is the right place to post this.......

But it would be nice if, when posting a new message, there were an (optional?) drop down box so you could pick the version of software you are using.  This may help the " Thanks for the help but I can't read it can you please convert it to.......) that seems to happen so often....... Also it may give clues to why someone is having a problem getting something to work......

Or is it just better to (if possible) convert the VI to version 7?

This actually has been brought up before, and I think it was included as a possibility as part of "new feature requests" for the forum upgrades. Wouldn't hurt to bring it up again, but JB is right about the forum.

It is a good suggestion.

Actually, if the first post is a request for help, a form which needs to be filled out and includes LV version would be even better.  This way, all questions would "look"  the same and might make it easier to understand the issue.  Also a field that would sort by categories.. 😉

It would be a good topic in the Forum Feedback area.

No matter which version you post an example in, sooner or latter it will be the wrong version for someone.

I'd prefer images of the code be inserted since images are still viewable regardless of teh LV version.

They also let readers learn code techniques without having to download and open.

Images also force noobs to do the coding rather just download and integrate.

I absolutely agree with you Ben.  I hate seeing interesting topics posted, but not being able to look at them because I am stuck at LV8.0.
