Front Panel Background not appearing

I am trying to change the background of my front panel by using the directions found on the website (right clicking the scrollbar..etc.).

However when I select an image, the background doesnt change. Instead there is just a dotted line in the background of my front panel and it is still gray.  Any ideas?  see the screenshots I attached.

It almost looks like the background is there, but it's just hidden behind the gray.

I don't have much luck changing the background image from the front panel. It's something that started giving me trouble around LV version 2010. I hardwire it with a property node like this:

Thanks, that works well.  Do I have to keep that in my code? Or can I just run it once and the background will be saved, even if I delete that portion of code and export it to an executable?

Can you attach the image you were trying to use?

My guess is that becuase Paul stretched the image you were actually able to see it as the background image.

I used Paul's code with "Center" and it still worked. So I don't think that's the case.  But here is the image anyways.

I have the same problem and have to use the same workaround every time I create a new VI where I want a custom background. I thought I was alone with the problem but I'm thinking it's a bug. Does anyone know if it has been reported? I need to look into how to report things like this I guess...
