G server Executable

Hello,
I am developing a distribution system which contains several servers (in different locaiton). Each server monitor and setup group of the machines. I think it is not feasible to install the labview for all the servers. Thanks for the help. I am appreciating that.

Hi Benjamin,

There is a patch to the internet toolkit to fix issues with LabVIEW 8.0 and higher: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/0A20303193EFCD53862570B3007CC48C?Opendocument

Let me know if that solves the problem.

Jeremy,
I am sorry that it still doesn't work after I install the patch file.
There are two cases I tried:
(1) I clicked the application icon in order to run the application. I used IE7 to connect the server (application) via this address http://localhost, and the IE7  can't get resonse (wait forever)

(2) I added a line "WebServer.Enabled=True" inside the file "application.ini". The G server started up for few seconds and it stopped again.

Is there anything I missed? Thank you very much.

Hi Benjamin,

I'm still looking in to this, and I encounter the same problems when I try to build it here.  I'm wondering if there is a bug in the server code itself that manifests in the newer versions of LabVIEW.  Do you have an older version of LabVIEW you can try to build it in?  I'm planning on trying to build it in an older version, but it will probably be next week before I get a chance to build it.

Jeremy,
Could you please provide the version of the Labview I have to test? I am sorry that we bought the Labview this year and all we have is version 8.5 an  version 8.51. Could you provide older verison of the Labview for use? Thank you very much.

Hi Benjamin,

Unforunately, I won't be able to give out an old version of LabVIEW.  I might be able to post the web server executable however, if I can get it to work.

Jeremy,
Any good news while you try the older version of the Labview? Thank you very much.

Hi Benjamin,

I am unfortunately getting the same error when I build the server in LabVIEW 7.1.  I'll see what else I can do to figure out why this is happening.

Hi Benjamin,

I've submitted a Corrective Action Request to R&D for this issue.  CAR# 121252.
