GPIB Read in LabVIEW 7.01

Your code looks fine.  I have an FPM-8200, and tried the FILT? command.  It worked fine.  I used it both with and without the leading colon.

MAX = the NI Measurement and Automation Explorer.  Look under the NI tab under >>Start>All Programs>National Instruments.

When you installed the GPIB board, you should have gone into MAX, configured the board, and run the diagnostics. This is all assuming that you have an NI GPIB controller and that followed the getting started instructions that came with teh controller. Part of the installation instructions alsotell you to right click on the controller listed in MAX and do a scan for instruments.
