GPIB interface can not be found

Hi everyone,  I'm trying to connect the instrument via GPIB (PCI-6024E). In Measurement & Automation, the device has been detected, but GPIB interface can not be found. The computer system is Windows XP, installed with Labview 5.1.1 for Windows 2000/NT/9X. Is it  because the Labview version is too low? Thank you very much!

What interface is installed in the computer? Is it installed correctly?

The pci-6024 is not even close to being a GPIB controller. LabVIEW has nothing to do with your misunderstanding. The card you have is a data acquisition device.

Hi Dennis, I think you are right! I'm really a beginner, thank you so much for your help!

Hi Proven, thank you so much for your reply!  I installed driver software of NI-DAQ, and I thought PCI-6024E is a GPIB, but Dennis reminded me that DAQ boad and GPIB are two different things.

Right, so do you or do you not have a gpib interface?
