Hey guys,

I am trying to put my input numeric controls on to one of the decoration i.e. a raised box say in the front pane. however, the control becomes invisible once i put it on top of the raised box. Do i have to set some properties of the raised box so that it shows the numeric control?

Select any of the controls, then click the "Reorder" button in the toolbar and select what you want to do with that control!

Not in the tools palette, in the toolbar.

Last button on the right.

Hey the reorder button doesnt help. It only has options like lock,unlock,group,ungroup.... this is not what i want. i need to place the control on top of the decoration in such a way that I can see the control. Can this be done?

Don't you have the options

Move Forward Ctrl+K

Move Backward Ctrl + J

Move to Front Ctrl+Shift+K

Move to Back Ctrl+Shift+J

in that drop down menu???

Strange, strange strange

Did you change other properties of those controls?

Because I can assure you that playing with the order doesn't create such problem like you have Smiley Tongue

Since you're starting out you may wish to simply have the Tools palette visible. This palette can be turned off from the LabVIEW menu. I think it's the Window menu.

Nope, its' the View menu and then "Tools Palette"

Thanks. It was past my bedtime (I'm getting old) and I was bleary eyed, and I didn't feel like launching LabVIEW or the LabVIEW Help to verify it.
