Get front panel background color to default

I'm using Labview 2009 and I had this very stupid question, but I really didn't know how to do it. I'd like to put my front panel background color (the bright white as shown in enclosed picture) back to default (the grey one). I tried the color setting in option->environment, but it didn't work out for me, I didn't even know how I made this background color so bright.

Shift-right-click on the background to get the tools palette. Get the color tool (bottom of tools pallette). The cursor will turn into a paint brush. Now right-click on the background and select the desired color.

That should be it! 😄

The method altenback stated will work, however if this problem occurs with every new vi you create then try this.

I'm not sure how it works in LabVIEW 2009, but in version 8.2 you go to Tools>Options>Colors then select the check box for  "Use default colors".

This will change the colors back to default for each new vi.

That will only apply to new VIs, it will not change the user modified colors of any existing VIs.

altenbach,

Right after I post I was reading it and realized I did not state that this will not change user defined colors. While I editing my post I saw that you clarified my error. Thank you.
