This is a simple task and doens't affect the vi. It does however help alot with the positioning of my front panel objects if I can group/lock a few objects together so that they can be positioned relative to one another whenever I need to move them. I think it's similar with MS word's drawing tools where you can group and ungroup the drawings. Without such function I find it really troublesome to rearrange the front panel.
