I've built an application in lv. that monitors events in a remote location.
I need to send emails to certain recipients about certain random events.
I'm using windows xp with lv 8.2 . The SMTP mail tool provided, does not provide email authentication, which many email servers are now requiring for outgoing mail. Though it may get through some servers, it may be blocked by others.
I downloaded an activex control which uses my outlook express client, and works great except for the annoying security dialog box which is launch by Windows. In order to send the mail, a person must wait 5 seconds and then press the yes button. Changing the custom security settings does not seem to fix the problem, unless I have not checked off the right boxes.
Does anybody know how to deactivate this hurdle, so that it can operate automaticaly in the field.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
