Help with Lon Network and Gateway

I have installed a Bablebuster 485 Gateway on a Lon automation network. I have configured the gateway with the tool that came with the gateway, and have dropped it on the network, and can see the nvi's in the node view, but cannot bind them in the automation system, the nvi's do not show up in the drop down box. My question is do I need to use a tool like LON Maker to configure the points on the lon side of the gateway for the system to see them in the drop down box. The system is Micro thermal for grocery stores.

Just to clarify, you mentioned a drop down box, is this drop down box in LabVIEW or is it in another program?
