Hi,
I am getting an 'Error 4810 occurred at Sound File Read Open.vi' for the attached wav file (plus many other wav files).
Any ideas?

Error 4810 occurred at an unidentified location
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: (Hex 0x12CA) Cannot recognize sound format.
Check the wav file. Where did you get it? How was it created?

You can attach your .exe if you want. 😀
But what I meant is that the guy you answered to, should include not only the code but the sound file that doesn't work. The Sound File Read Open.vi is pretty trivial, aside from wiring a non existing file path to its input, there is not that much a user could do wrong in his code, so adding a VI which calls the Sound File Read Open.vi won't tell us much. More important is the sound format inside that sound file. Most likely it is some audio compressor that the standard Windows Multimedia functions don't support. Or a non-Windows sound file.
Of course there is another possibility. That poster is a so called one time poster. That together with a rather obscure "me too" message to a 7 year old thread, often means that he won't even come back to check for an answer or he may just try to get an account on here and do an obligatory post to overcome the initial NI forum throttle of 2 messages a day before going on a spam spree.
