Host To PC communication using USB Interface

Hi,

     I got one requirement to develop a program in LabVIEW/LabWindows to display messages received by PC slave from a host device through USB interface? Here my PC should act as slave and the UUT(Unit Under Test) will act as host. I would be basically getting some text messages from host device. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance....

My intention is to make a communication through USB ports using PC Link cables. The thing I am not clear is NI VISA would support these link cables or not. If VISA supports these cables, would you please mention some of those cables? Thanks in advance..

Do these USB devices have a driver that creates a virtual COM port?  If so, then you will probably be able to communicate using the VISA drivers.
