How I can read-out both inputs from the front and the rear of Keithley199 through GPIB in Labview?

Hi,

I am reading two voltages simultaneously through the front and back panel inputs of Keithley 199 DMM scanner. How can I have a read-out of these voltages in my Labview program?

Are you sure you can do both?

Read the manual.

On Keithleys I have used in the past there is a pushbutton which chooses which input is active.

I want a read-out of both. The push putton changes the display of the input voltages. My question is whether both can be read simulataneously through GPIB in Labview. Your suggestion/advice is welcome.

Your question should be answered by reading the manual or by asking Keithley. I agree with nyc that the units I have used, the switch enables one at a time.

You are obviously look at the wrong pushbutton.

It is right there on the front panel of the instrument.

My experience with DMMs is that there is a manual switch to tell which terminals to read.  It will only read the front OR the back.  There should be a querry command to programmatically find out which set of terminals it is reading.  I haven't looked at the Keithley 199, but that is how the 2000 behaves.
