For files that can be read by excel, use Write to Spreadsheet File, Write to Measurement File. For native Excel, use the Report Generation Toolkit or direct ActiveX calls. Numerous examples exist.

Usually, no. You can stream to a TDMS file with a DAQmx function, though.The functions I mentioned do not know or care what the source of the data is. Please turn on context help and read about the functions. Look at the shipping examples and please take a LabVIEW tutorial.
