I would recommend you to download and install this. It's a free toolkit for Excel using ActiveX. Here, take a look at the palette:

As you can see, you have all the possibility to do anything with an Excel workbook or sheet. You can read from Excel and write to Excel.

You should post what you have done so far and we'll help you.
