How can I fix the error about Perforce

I am trying to use Source Code Control, Perforce Windows Client Version 2007.3 151541, in my networking project thus I've configured LabVIEW 8.5 with Source Code Provider in Source Contol of Options setting.

After I finish configure 2 PCs with Perforce then I configure last PC but the error occur when I was selecting Source Control Provider Name to Perforce Command Line. ( as attached picture)
How can I fix this error? There is before no error like this in other 2 PCs.

Thank you in advance

Hi MS_CJ,

The error code corresponds to the condition where LabVIEW is trying to connect to a source control provider and fails.  Try removing the LabVIEW INI file, restarting LabVIEW, then re-configuring LabVIEW for use with Perforce.  Please let me know if this helps.

Hi MS_CJ,

Do you have the Perforce server installed?  The Perforce client and the LabVIEW source control commands just provide interfaces to the server.  You can run the server locally on the same machine, or on a separate machine on your network.

Dear Jeremy_B,

Yes, I have installed Perforce Server to one of all three my PCs. which does not any error to configure LabVIEW with Perforce Window Client.

I am now able to use Perforce Window Client to manage LabVIEW files (or other files) but I can't use LabVIEW's source code control feature such as check in, check out etc, because I have not complete configuring LabVIEW with Perfoce Window Client yet as above error.

I can only use project explorer of LabVIEW to manage LabVIEW files in my server PC ( installed Perforce Server)

Hope you please help me.

Hi MS_CJ,

Sorry for the delay in replying.  I've tried this on my machine here, and it seems that release 2007.3 of the Windows client doesn't seem to work with LabVIEW.  The 2007.2 release does.  I'm not sure if this is a bug with Perforce or LabVIEW (or both), but I'll be reporting it to R&D.  You can also use the Perforce Command Line client if you have that option.

Dear Jeremy_B,

Thanks for your reply

I have just completely configured LabVIEW in another PCs with Perforce Window Client and can use the functions of source code control on LabVIEW project explorer. The difference of this PCs from old 2 PCs which can't configure with Perforce Window Client is "this new PC is Professional development system of LabVIEW"

Or Perforce Window Client can only use with Professional development system?  but my old PC installed Perforce Server can configure with LabVIEW isn't Professional development system it is just LabVIEW Base development system like another 2 PCs which can't configure with Perforce Window Client.

Hi MS_CJ,

You must have at least the Professional version to use source control.

Hi Jeremy_B,

Thanks. But my server PC, which has installed Perforce Server, just only Base version can use source code control.

Hi MS_CJ,

You need LabVIEW Professional to use the source control integration features, but you can run the Perforce server on any PC (you don't need LabVIEW at all for the server).  I might be misunderstanding you, please let me know if this is the case.
