How can I retain lefthand zeros as placeholders in LV?

Look at the attachment. Except for months, I think it does what you want except much more simply. Months is a bit trickier since there's a varying amount of days in a month. I don't have time to do all of the logic right now but one approach you could take is determine the current month and do some kind of lookup to determine how many days are in the number of months specified. I'm not sure that specifying a running-time of months would be something often used (or practica) but I'm sure the math could be worked out.

Another option is to use the Time Rec cluster which can do all the calculations for you, but it seems to have some weird problems with overflow. To convert to such a cluster, use Seconds to Date\time.

lol - around midnight last night I decided there had to be a simpler way to do what I wanted! I think I'll try to finish the code I started because, if nothing else, it has been a great way to learn LabView.

I'll post the vi when I'm done so you guys can marvel at my excercise in inefficency haha!

Thanks for all your help - Paul
