Say hay Ray,

I missed the content of your last reply.  Looks like you edited it out by mistake.

What to you think:

Do you think that there might be any applications out there, that generate large quantities of data, that might benefit from larger supported storage capacities while still enjoying the benefits that a RTOS brings to the table?

Do beneficial characteristics an RTOS and the benefit of larger storage capacity have to be mutually exclusive?

Well, yeah... :smileyindifferent:  Huh, To my defense must I say that I did not call you some names. That I did was to mention that 3. Group of people, no represented in this thread. Could feel some posters way of naming names somewhat insulting.

Can I have my 2TB drive please

Rouge,
I understand you desire the free larger hard drive capacity,
but I just can not make out the rest of your reply.
Please repost with proper grammar.
Please, Please, Please, this is not an attach.
Peace, Kevin

Partha,

Is suspect Dixy does not deal with much high rate data.  So his needs for vast amounts of data just don't exist.

Do you have any opinion on the subject:

Do you think that there might be any applications out there, that generate large quantities of data, that might benefit from larger supported storage capacities while still enjoying the benefits that a RTOS brings to the table?

Do beneficial characteristics an RTOS and the benefit of larger storage capacity have to be mutually exclusive?

Kevin,

you've posted that question several times already.  Enough.  If anybody has an answer to it they'll provide it, there's no need to ask each and every poster in the thread the same question.

@Coqrouge: racial stereotyping is a bad way to go in what is essentially an anonymous forum.  Please refrain in future.  It only leads to grief int he long run.

Shane.

Partha be calm.  Don't loose control.  Don't give up your dignity.  Don't sell you self short, for a few Kudos.  How about making a real contribution.  No body but Tolga has so far.

Now I have given everyone a Kudo to date for each and every reply even thought their has been no real content to speak of in this tread, except for Tolga.  Tolga has been the shinning light.

Partha, do you have anything at all to offer of substance to this thread?

I have tried to make it simple for you guys and gals.

A simple vote to fix a bug and two simple yes or no questions:

Do you think that there might be any applications out there, that generate large quantities of data, that might benefit from larger supported storage capacities while still enjoying the benefits that a RTOS brings to the table?

Do beneficial characteristics an RTOS and the benefit of larger storage capacity have to be mutually exclusive?

Anyway, I Kudoed all replys, and not received a single one, because I am of course, an unmitigated "double star" you know what.

Bill,

I believe that if it were referred to as such, or any of the other variations, then most of us would get it.

Sometimes people can be retentive about proper titles, spelling, grammar, etc.  and be completely void of content.

I have gotten bitten by the proper upper lower case usage of LabVIEW.

I have gotten bitten by adding a prefix of endearment "Mc".

And, everybody here knows, by now, to be careful with fonts.

Font Size does matter, infinitely more so than content, at least at NI forums.

This thread has been one of the most freshening one I have seen. After heavy use of flamethrower, cease-fire has been proclaimed and everybody is friends. But perhaps it has gone to far off topic, which I have contributed somewhat to. So I think it time to go back to topic. And the good thing is that the problem has been solved. Large disk-drives is now supported in the Pharlap RTOS which is used by Labview RT 2009
