How could FP LVRT controller message A-B PLC directly?

Want ControlLogix PLC to talk to FP-20xx controller over ethernet. Will not have OPC server or other computer to proxy, i.e. RSLinx.

Could try 'serial over ethernet' into ControlLogix DF1 port, but would require me to write a custom serial protocol. Other ideas? Has anyone built a CIP stack for LVRT?
