How do I change the chassis type in an existing CompactRIO project?

Thanks for that Gerd, but how did you find them!? I searched for Change Target, Change LabVIEW Chassis, the same with Update instead of Change, and Modify instead of Change, and got nothing pertitent. I get frustrated with how difficult I find it to search for things here

I knew there was such an idea because I simply looked through "real time idea exchange" some weeks ago...

That at least gives me some confidence that it's not because I wasn't using the search tool effectively, but perhaps because the search tool is ineffective!

OK, so the hardware arrived this morning, which made the change over a little quicker as I created a New Project, automatically added the target hardware and chassis and EtherCAT which meant a lot of the hardware deployed settings were imported. Nice.

However, when I went to drag and drop all the project elements across to the new target, I could move copy everything except my Build Distributions. Now, I have a fair few of these, some for the RT, some for the FPGA, and arguably these are the items I most need to copy, as they are highly customised! So I've had to painstakingly jot down the details of each and recreate them step by step. Not much fun.

Anyway, after a full recompile of the FPGA code (new target, so inevitable really), I'm now back to being productive. I still think this should be automated...
