I am trying to connect my CRIO to a wireless router, but I am unable to do it correctly. I am able to see the RIO in MAX, but connecting to it is a different story. When I connect with the crossover cable, I can see the RIO in MAX and then check it's devices and software, but it times out when attempting to check these parameters when attempting wireless communication. I feel like there may be a security issue, but any help would be appreciated.

Roman,
I believe you may need a straight through (patch cable), not crossover when conencting to a router. The corssover is used to connect the cRIO directly to PC. There may be some other issues but try this first.
Also, the Windows firewall can interfere with the communication, so try disableing this as well.

I just could not resist adding this to the discussion
Thousands of High School FIRST Robotic teams over the past 6 weeks have set up and configured their cRIO to communicate via a wireless network. So my first though is to find a local FIRST team and have them walk you through it. Here is a document they used to set up a D-Link wireless router. How to Configure Your Radio Rev A (1/25/2011)
Anyway today (Feb. 22nd) is the Robot Ship date after an intense 6 weeks build season.
