How do I get the number of processors (cores) with LabVIEW

Hi, I would like to determine programatically and with LabVIEW on Windows XP how many processors (or cores) are available and what their loading is.  I am finding a lot of info on doing this with RT, but I am having trouble finding a way of doing it in LabVIEW.

Any ideas?

Hi Anthon,

on the German LabView days (somedays ago) they have shown a function to determine the number of cores. They proposed to attach this function to the sum-up of the presentation here on the website.

So 2 options:
1) maybe the same function is shown on the English LV days - so look there for some data.
2) Wait until the sum-up of the German LV days is available...
Best regards,
GerdW

Thank you Gerd, sorry I am not clear with what labVIEW 'days' refers to - was it some sort of a conference for which the proceedings will be placed on the ni.com website?  If so I am not quite sure what to search for to get it.

Hi AnthonV,

the official term is "NIdays" and yes: it was a kind of conference to present LabView8.5 here in Germany too...
You should find the proceedings someday here (I hope)!

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi Gerd, although the information you mentioned does not seem to be on that page yet, it got me looking around the devzone and I think I have found what I was looking for.  I have attached the links below for anyone else who might want to monitor the CPU on a Windows target:
