How do I get the tools palette to be visible in labview 7? It is not listed under windows

The winow dropdown list does not even list "show tools pallete". The auto tool is driving me crazy

I encoutnered the same thing today....

It IS listed, but LV 7 has the annoying "auto hide" function for removing less-frequently used menu entries. Simply move to the very bottom of the menu to expand it and reveal the otherwise hidden entries. Then you should see the option for the tools palette.

Hope this helps

Shane.

I'd turn this option off as the others pointed out. It is annoying.

You can also get the Tools palette by holding the 'Shift' key down while right-clicking. This works on both front panel and block diagram. This is nice to know if you use the auto tool as it's a quick way to get to the tool palette.

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.
