How do I restore default font sizes for all screens?

I am unable to read the complete 'find examples' menu because the font sizes are incorrect. How can I go back to the default font size from when I originally installed labview?

Errr... before taking this somewhat drastic step let's try to see what's going on first..

First off, which version of LabVIEW are you running, and on what platform?

Second, not sure what you mean when you say "unable to read the complete 'find examples' menu" - which menu are you talking about? In LabVIEW or in the Example Finder? 'Cause there's no menu in the Example Finder in 7.1

Third, you can manually edit the labview.ini file and the .ini file for the Example Finder to delete entries related to fonts that may have been accidentally placed in there. The labview.ini file is in the directory where the LabVIEW application is. The ini file for the Example Finder (at least in Windows) is in the National Instruments\Shared\Example Finder\1.0\BIN directory, and is called "NIExampleFinder.ini". The keys you're looking for are "appFont", "dialogFont", "FPFont", "systemFont". If you see these keys, just delete them.

If you are running windows, also check the display properties.

Make sure the font size is set to "Normal" and not e.g. "large font" ("Control panel..display..appearance" OR "...settings..advanced..")

DIsplay fonts can also change if you change the "Theme".

I'm using labview 8.0 and running on a Windows XP Pro Machine.

I can reproduce this by setting the Windows display to "extra large font".

Right-click on your windows desktop background and select properties. Go to the "appeareance" tab and check the font size. It should be set to normal.
