How do I save a Standard Report (not HTML) to file?

Hi,

I am generating a Standard Report that includes front panels in jpeg format. I found that the Save Report to File requires HTML format. I cannot use HTML because I need to print in Landscape mode. I tried a regular open and write to file, however the file is created and nothing is written into it. I have the report refnum wired into the data input on the file write vi. There must be something I need to do with the report to make it saveable. Anyone know what that is?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

Do you have this option?

Set Report Orientation (Not in Base Package)

Determines whether the report is printed in landscape or portrait orientation. You cannot use this VI with HTML reports.

If not, what is a Standard Report?  MS Word?

hi there

you can select a PostScript-Printer and then the Option "Print to File" in the printers dialog box to create a ps-file or install a pdf - printer (e.g. FreePDFXP1_2.EXE) to create pdf -files.

Another solution: build a front panel with the data you want to print and call "Print window" of the VI.

Best regards
chris
