How do I use code snippets

What am I doign wrong here?

I swear I have used snippets before but now I can not seem to figure out how to use them.

I am using LabView 2013

LV Help says

  1. (Optional) Share the .png file with other LabVIEW users in one of the following ways.
    • Attach the file to any Web document such as an email. (Windows and Mac OS X) Other users can download the file and then drag and drop the file onto the block diagram to use the code.
    • Embed the image in an HTML page such as a message forum. (Windows and Mac OS X) Other users can drag the image onto the block diagram to use the code.

Well, I was going to help you on the other thread, but you edited your message before I could get this one done.

If you're using Firefox, the last instruction ("others can drag the .png into LV") doesn't work like I originally thought it would, i.e., you can't just drag the picture straight from FF into an LV block diagram. You have to save it to a file (right-click "Save as"), then you can drag that file from your Explorer (now apparently called "File Explorer" into the LV diagram.

I don't know how it works in Chrome or IE. Others may be able to comment.

What's the difference is between dragging the png to the desktop then to the block diagram (that works) and saving the image to my downloads folder and then dragging the saved image file into the block diagram (that only pastes a link to the image file into the block diagram)?

Yeah, I can see now you can do it that way, but I never have my desktop visible (always running at least one program maximized - FF and/or Thunderbird (email) - even if behind other windows), so save-drag is more convenient.

I guess it's because the programmers of FF made a decision a while ago to NOT include all of the cross-program functionality of IE, because it can more easily get you into trouble if you run into malware on the web (or at least that was the story).
