How to Create an installer when your VI uses DAQmx VIs

Hello all,

 I am stuck with a very strange problem i have completed building my code for my application that uses a DAQ card 6024E. My VI uses the DAQmx read, write and timing functions. Now the problem is that when i create an installer i include the LV runtime engine 8.5 and also i tried to include the device drivers version DAQmx 8.7.2. LV creates the installer but when i install this on some computer where LV is not installed i get an error message the could not find the location of LV runtime engine 8.5 please contact the vendor of the applicatoin.

Now that i have done all the hard work in building my application i just can't figure it out how to create the installer. Please help me on this issue. I will be more than thankful to you guys.

By "tried to include", do you mean you:

 A) tried and failed

 B) tried but don't know

 C) tried and succeeded

I'm guessing A.  Probably not C.

I meant to say that " I successfully created that installer" but when i installed it on a computer which doesnot have LV8.5 it din work but when i installed it on a computer which already had LV8.5 but no device drivers perviously installed the installer successfully got installed and when i ran the exe it worked perfectly. To me the problem is there with the runtime engine i downloaded the runtime engine from internet and then installed it separately on the system but still no success. The error message was same that could not find the LV runtime engine.

What to do now?

Hey Shami, a few questions for you:

Are you using 8.5 or 8.5.1?  Did you use the same run-time engine as your app was made in?  Did you restart the computer after installing the run-time engine? Are you installing to the same OS?

We must be missing something here, as thousands of LV users have done this without a hitch.
