Another note, don't use a word document as the placeholder for LabVIEW code.

LabVIEW 8.6 and later have the option to export snippets (png-pictures and my personal favorite the code-capture-tool)

Sorry, but I forgot about this, and I didn't log into the forums over the weekend. Not sure if you can still use this, but attached is a crude implementation. Not sure if it's right, since there a few details about the algorithm which are not clear to me, and the Wikipedia page wasn't very illuminating.
