How to find pitch-yaw-roll angle without too much unstable displacement with 6Dof IMU

When I assign the numbers to an array and take the average, I get a smoother output value. I get the IMU angle with less deviation. It responds to my movement by moving in less range.here is the subvi example I used 🙂 https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Simple-Moving-Average-VI/m-p/3275941#M956730

I think I'm on the right track or I don't know 🙂

I would like to draw attention to this issue again. Since the measuring range of the currently used IMU is wide, the noise produced is 0.5g. Can anyone help with this Noise filter method? Can low pass filter be used?.

First of all, I think I found the solution, the whole problem is only in the filtering method. I have now reduced the noise using FIR filtering, but I still can't get the roll and pitch angles properly. I think the problem is only using the accelerometer to calculate the roll and pitch information.
I know that I need to integrate the gyroscope information, but I can't find a clear applicable example on how to do this, can someone please help?

If you are new to the Forums, you might not know about Private Messages.  When you log in, you should see near the top a broad green banner with "LABVIEW" on the left and your Avatar on the right.  See the little envelope?  That gives you access to your Private Messages.  I'm going to send you one (so when you log in, you should see a red "1" by the envelope) and you can read my Message to you.  Give me a few minutes -- I haven't written it yet ...

OK, you don't have PMs enabled on your account (my attempt to contact you failed).  It has been more than a decade that I set my Profile up, but try this:

  • Find your Avatar and Forum Name to the top right of the Forum "banner".
  • Select "My Settings".
  • For me, both "Personal" and "E-mail" take me to the same place.
  • [It's hard to write these instructions -- I "jump away" to my own Profile to figure out what to say next ...]
  • On my screen, it says "Don't send me any community e-mails".  I have not checked that bos.
  • If I'm right about all this, you should be able to get out of Settings and back into the Forums.  Find this Post, find one of my Replies, and hover the mouse over my bolded name (to the right of my Avatar).  Click "Send Message".  This should take you to the PM section of the Forum, where you can send me a message.
  • Once I get your PM (I generally check the Forums daily, including the 4th of July and weekends), I'll reply with my own PM to you.
