How to find time between two pick points of a signal?

Hiii,

        I want to find the time interval T between two consecutive points of the signal in the graph as shown in figure. I have attached the figure with this.

           Actually i have taken a Wavefrom graph and the signal is coming from the external PCI based card and this signal is of some consecutive frequesncy, but i want to find the Time distance 'T' between two consecutive pick points of the graph as shown in figure.

Please help me, thanks in advance.

Dear Antea,

   Thanks for the prompt reply, actually we had a try with the vi Advanced Pick detector, which could solve our purpose, but when we attached our signal from the external card, it behaves something odd, it founds the picks but they were a different ones from the expected, it was a totally wrong value.

             Another thing is we doesnt have try the thing you tell us, and we also dont know where is that? can you please tell me where i will find that option and that menu?

Hi,

I attached an example vi for both "array" or "waveform" data type. I have Labview 7.1 full package.

The VIs you need of are in the function menu Analyze\Waveform monitoring or Waveform Measurement if your data are acquired as waveform points otherwise you can use Analyse\Signal Processing\Time domain vis for array data type.

Of course if your acquired signal has got too much noise on it would be better to do some filtering before the peak detection.
