How to install Lab View for learning purpose

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello Team,

I am new and to explore this LabVIEW tool, I need help for the tool selection version and installation.

Which version is best and what all types available? Currently, I am using Windows 8 64bit.

I tried to install but I failed, an error occurred in the .NET framework.

Please reply to me ASAP.

Thanks, proland1121, Its really helpful information and a prerequisite for the installation.

Is there any documentation for the installation of LabVIEW 2014 & 2015, and from where I should download the tool.

I used https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview.html#305508 this link for the download. I failed to download, please find the attached screenshot

I recommend that (a) you install LabVIEW (32-bit) on your 64-bit Windows OS.  Have you tried doing a Web Search "Download LabVIEW"?  As I typed this into Google, it filled in options for LabVIEW 2018, 2017, and 2016.  I'd (personally) recommend LabVIEW 2016, as it is the last version before NI switched to NIPM for installation (which is still having "growing pains", I think).

There is a possibility that some of these links might not be "globally" available.  In that case, get in touch with your local NI Representative.

I am not able to download the tool of version 2014, 2015. The download button will be gray out.

Can someone help me to install the student version

I'm not 100% but pretty sure the student version can only be licensed for the most recent version, so 2019.
