How to know that the analog ouput of a DAQ card is spolied?

I am trying to work with a DAQ card. However, I am not getting a response when I test it using "Measurement and automation". Is there a way to test if my card is still working properly?

Hello hlseck,

Which DAQ card are you working with? And which driver do you have installed for it? If you have an external breakout box (or a connector block) attached to the card, then you can connect one analog output channel to an analog input channel. Then use MAX to generate a sine wave on the AO and read the same on the AI. Also try different AO & AI channels. If this test fails, then most likely the card has gone bad and would need a replacement. You can also try to unplug the card from your computer and plug it back in. And also verify if you have the latest driver for the card.

I am using Multifunction DAQ device PCI-MIO-16E-4 with Driver Version 6.9.2. Yes I have a connector box attached to my card.

Hello hlseck,

With the connector block available, you should be able to follow the my suggestions in the previous post. If the test fails, than its a pretty clear indication that the device has gone bad and would need repairs. This can be said because, if the device is recognized in MAX, then it means that its driver has been installed correctly and there is no other installatoin issue.
