How to make this VI not to swith off the device after every time the loop executes?

I am using the Keithley Examples to receive data from Keithley 2400 Sourcemeter on the computer - and plot a graph. In my VI - I want to move the "on - off" , "close" , "error" sub vi's outside the loop but when I do so the wires break.

I am attaching my vi.

PS - I don't know how to send the sub vi's - to run my vi's please install the instrument drivers for Keithley Model 2400.

I am at home so I can't open your code, but the loop that you mentioned- is it by any chance a for loop?

If so, read up on auto indexing.

How are you moving it outside and in what way do the wires break? I think all you need inside the loop is the "read.vi", everything else needs to execute only once. (not really sure, because I don't have the subVIs and documentation).

Make sure the loop tunnels are not autoindexing for the error and visa resource, use regular tunnels or shift registers (preferred).

You should also move all of the initialization code outside the loop.
