I am using DAQ for the signal acquiring but can you guide me of what sort of hardware is needed and how the circuit should be made to control automatic switching of LEDs with DAQ.
Thanks.

As I already said, a spdt relay will do. The common is connected to the battery and the nc and no poles to your two different LEDs. One or the other will always be connected in this scheme. Pick a mechanical or solid state relay that suits the voltage and current you will be switching. A valuable excercise for the student.

Also be careful with the amount of current needed to control the relay. Many DAQ boards don't have enough current to control a relay, so you might need to add a digital buffer chip and another power supply in order to have enough current to control the relay.

Hello,
The circuit I am using is attached that shows the required resistor and current values of respective LED's.The DAQ used is DAQPad-6015/6016.
Can you suggest me a relay switch can be used or that can work with these requirements so that I can order them.
Thanks.
