How to program a custom FPGA onto a touch screen module.

I am in the development of desiging a system that looks like a FPGA with 8 inputs and 8 outputs and several timers on a touch screen module. On the even itterations the program is outputting T or False to relays to run the machine. Then on odd itterations the progam is checking to see if the move or action has been complete, it also has a timeout timmer that will report an error if an action does not occur during the alloted time. I was thinking about using 2 seperate arrays one for inputs and the other for ouputs and they would manupliate the data as it comes in and out and for the timmers using a timed loop function. Am I on the right track and if not any suggestions.

Thanks for the help

Hi Exayu,

Could you give us a little more information about how you're trying to set this up?  I'm not really sure what you mean by 'a system that looks like an FPGA'.  Are you just trying to control a custom FPGA with a touch panel or trying to communicate with a CompactRIO FPGA with a touch panel?

Once we know a little more about how you're trying to do this, we'll be able to make sure you're on the right track.
