What I have:
PXI-1031 chassis, PXI-8187 controller, PXI-6122 DAQ card, PXI-6281 DAQ card (at once I am using only one of DAQ and I can use better for my job), BNC-2110 and CHROMA PXI-52411 SMU card, operating under RT OS controlled through Ethernet by laptop with Win 7.
What I want:
I want to synchronously start measurements with one of DAQ (not important for me which) and SMU. After each trigger I want to measure few samples with DAQ and SMU. I have triggering events each 1 ms. Analog trigger enters system through DAQ connector board.
What I can do:

but now after each of external triggers comes I want to initiate SMU measurements. I can send software trigger to SMU or I can use TTL triggers of PXI to initiate SMU (SMU can be triggered from PXI TTL lines).
The problem is how to synchronize both measurements. How to be sure that DAQ and SMU measures data after the same ext trigger pulse?
