Hi,
My PC started off with LabVIEW 2012 and related modules. After I installed LabVIEW 2013, I uninstalled all the 2012 software that I could find (that aren't dependencies of any 2013 software) through the "National Instruments Software" dialog. However, Distributed System Manager 2012 persists in my system, alongside DSM 2013. How can I remove DSM 2012?
Thanks!

What do you mean that it persists on your system? Is it still visible in the uninstaller? do you see its files or directiries on the disk?

Hi Mike,
I'm not sure which entry of the uninstaller (National Instruments Software dialog) contains the DSM. There was no "Distributed System Manager" entry even before I uninstalled anything. The DSM 2012 is still in my Start menu, and "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\System Manager\12.0\" is still full of files and folders, including SystemManager.exe. DSM 2013 (which I want to keep) lives in "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\System Manager\13.0\"
If it helps, I run Windows 8 64-bit and installed LabVIEW 2012 et al. using the NI Development Suite 2012 DVDs, but installed LabVIEW 2013 et al. using standalone installers from joule.ni.com
I have not yet checked if \12.0\SystemManager.exe still works -- I can do so when I get home later this evening.

DSM2012 will work with 2013 also. may cause it is there? Where can you see this? In control panel or labview uninstaller?
It should replace older one? Try restarting your PC? When you install DSM2013 then it will show to upgrade 2012 instead of installing

Hi Ranjeet,
I don't remember seeing the installer upgrading my DSM, but I might have missed it.
After I installed LabVIEW 2013 and other newer software, I restarted my computer because the installer asked me to. After that, I used the National Instruments Software dialog to uninstall LabVIEW 2012 and other older software. Then, I restarted my computer again:
There were no error messages, but there are now two versions of DSM in my Start menu (you can see all the default icons placed by NI installers):
All the DSM files are still in my computer:
I can launch both versions. Their "About" boxes show that they are two different versions:
How do I uninstall DSM 2012?
Thanks!

Better talk to NI guys. And in the control panel right click on DSM2012 and uninstall............
OR in NI software click on DSM2012 and select remove. Tried

You spoke to NI guys? In 12.0 folder you have any uninstalled file?
