How to use the ActiveX class MLApp.DIMLApp - Matlab ActiveX interface

Hello:

I'm try to pass some data from LabVIEW to Matlab using the ActiveX class MLApp.DIMLApp.

Could you please provide me with instructions on how to use the Methods and properties of this class.

For example

What should be wired into the "workspace" parameter of the "GetVariable" Method

How to use the "PutFullMatrix"

Your help will be highly appreciated

hey felix,

i have the same problem...i have been reading online and it seems that the registry for the activex control is messed up.  I tried to fix it but it still does not work. have you found a work around yet?

Hi Erique:

I gave it up unfortunately I'm up to my neck busy with other things. I just did all the code in Matlab to read the compressed data files I need without using the LabVIEW application program that did before.

I would appreciate anyway if you could let me know about any progress on this issue.

I actually got it to work with the help of Marc Lawrence (I met him through one of these postings as well). If you still want to give it a shot, let me know and i could send you a copy of my vi.

Thanks for the vi. If it is not too much trouble could you please compiled for LabVIEW version 7.1 ? I still don't have version 8 and it soes run with my  Labview version 7.1

Hey Felix,

Im sorry but I don't know how to do that.  I'm very new to labview and i still don't know how to compile it to version 7.1.  Maybe you can tell me how to do it, then I'll give it a shot.
